In order to connect to this year’s camp theme “We are African!”, participants in the arts and crafts workshop created torn paper collages that reflected their African identity, decorated country flags, completed an “I am” writing activity, and included their camp application essay on the following topics:

Essay 3: “I realized that my family’s culture may be different from those of the kids in my school/neighborhood when…”
